Have Your S'Mores And Eat Them Too

Date: Tuesday, October 14

Treat yourself to a plate of dessert tonight - or two. Tuesday, October 14th is National Dessert Day and Tru on N. St. Clair Street is a great place to celebrate the holiday. Tru is a progressive French restaurant but they have found a way to set their dessert menu apart from the competition with an infusion of American s'mores. When you order from the Prix Fixe menu Executive Chef Anthony Martin takes the standard graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow combination and creates a delicious piece of art. Martin uses his artist background to create tiny dioramas with his s'mores that will be just as appeasing to your eyes as they are to your stomach! Tru closes at 10:00 p.m. and their full menu is available on the restaurant's website.

Spend A Night With The Gravedigger

Date: Wednesday, October 15

Halloween is right around the corner and that means Frankenstein's monster will soon be everywhere, including the First Folio Theatre. As the play unfolds, you witness the monster's journey towards achieving humanity while the doctor simultaneously loses grasp of his own. The show is suited for adults and is likely not appropriate for children. General admission is $29 and students/seniors cost $25. The show starts at 8:00 p.m.
