August 18th is National Cupcake Day! Head down to Molly's Cupcakes at 2536 N. Clark Street to fill your sweets quota for the day. The shop specializes in classic cupcakes as well as center-filled options like the flourless chocolate and peanut butter nutella cupcakes. Molly's is open until 10:00 p.m. on weeknights so you'll have plenty of time to stop by after work!

Watch The Shanghai Warriors

Date: Wednesday, August 20

Cirque Shanghai brings impressive acrobatics and martial arts to Navy Pier for their appropriately titled show, Warriors. The show features one of the finest steel globe motorcycle troops on the planet as well as the prowess of Chinese Kung Fu masters. The performance starts at 2:00 p.m. and tickets are available for as low as $24.

Hit Up Kerry Wood Bobble Head Night

Date: Friday, August 22

Be one of the first 10,000 adults into Wrigley on August 22nd and receive your very own Kerry Wood 20 Strikeout Bobblehead. This limited edition bobblehead commemorates one of the most dominant pitching performances in history. It was 16 years ago that a 20 year old Kerry Wood struck out 20 batters in nine innings while allowing a single hit. Game starts at 1:20 p.m. but get there early to make sure you get your bobble head!

Catch Train at the Ravina Pavilion

Date: Saturday, August 23

All aboard! Train is rolling through the Ravina Pavilion this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. The pop rock powerhouse will be performing chart topping hits like "Drops Of Jupiter and "Hey, Soul Sister" in addition to other songs from their 20-year career. Tickets are still available online starting at $59.

Celebrate National Waffle Day

Date: Sunday, August 24

Love waffles? Then Saturday, National Waffle Day, is your lucky day. Ann Sather's has some of the finest waffles in Chicago, including their old-school Swedish waffles. These waffles are thinner, crispier, and include a dollop of sour cream in the batter. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. so you can begin your celebrations (waffle feasting) bright and early.
