Chicago Wolves snap home winning streak as they lose to Hershey Bears
The Chicago Wolves on Sunday took on two-time defending Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears of Pennsylvania at the Allstate Arena on Sunday.
Midway through the first period, the Wolves' Ryan Suzuki took a feed from Nikita Pavlychev and lit the lamp a one-timer from the slot. The score was 1-0 Wolves.
By the start of the third period, the score was 4-1 Hershey — with Nick Leivermann having scored a goal in the first period, and Pierrick Dube, Grant Cruikshank, and Spencer Smallman also each scoring.
The Wolves scored one more time. In the third, Aleksi Heimosalmi scored a power-play goal — teeing up a shot from the point and routing it past Hershey netminder Clay Stevenson's stick, a game recap noted.
The last goal was Hershey's, as Matt Strome scored a goal toward the end of the game.
The Wolves lost 5-2, snapping a six-game home winning streak.
The Wolves host the Texas Stars on Friday night at the Allstate Arena.
