Chicago Weather: Rain To Persist Until Daybreak
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Gusty mild winds from the south keep pulling moisture into our area.
As the front crosses northern Illinois, our winds shift and become northwesterly.
The northwest wind flow pulls in colder winds for Tuesday. That will also generate high wave action near the Indiana shoreline.
A Lakeshore Flood Advisory will be in effect all day Tuesday for waves building 8-11 feet.
Rain will be gone by sunrise, but clouds will linger for the morning rush.
As drier air works in by Tuesday afternoon, skies clear.
