Chicago Weather: Snow Returns
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A stubborn plume of lake effect snow could give isolated areas in Porter County, Indiana, another 2 inches Tuesday evening.
Otherwise, skies will partially clear elsewhere.
Morning lows will drop below zero in most places. Thankfully, winds will be light Tuesday night.
A new storm near the Texas panhandle is bringing winter again to the same places. Winter storm warnings and winter storm watches are already in play along the forecasted storm track.
This time around, we will only be on the northern edge of the snow shield. We have very dry air in place, so snow will have a hard time getting organized tomorrow and the storm track is a little farther south.
This scenario would mean minor amounts of snow for us -- a dusting to just over an inch.
The high for Wednesday is 20, and the high for Thursday is 23 with snow showers.
