CHICAGO (CBS) -- Dry high pressure locks in place Wednesday and temperatures will drop to the freezing mark, with upper 20s in outlying areas.
Look for a sunny start on Thursday, with clouds increasing at night ahead of the next cold front. The high for Thursday is 55.
Once that cold front passes, it will leave cold air in place for Friday.
The high for Friday is 41 with breezy conditions.
