Chicago Weather: Arctic Cold Front Coming This Way
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An Arctic cold front was coming this way Tuesday night.
A few flurries from Wisconsin may drift into Illinois and Indiana as the Arctic front moves in around midnight. The overnight low Tuesday night is 13.
The jet stream opens the door for Arctic air to park across our region right through Wednesday. Gusty winds in the morning will generate high wave action along the Indiana shoreline.
Waves of 7-10 feet are possible for the shores of Porter and LaPorte counties in Indiana.
Even with the sunshine, temperatures struggle with highs barely into the 20s. The normal high is 34.
But fret not. A warmup is coming right afterward.
On Thursday, the high is 36 with mostly sunny skies, and temperatures will climb into the 40s over the weekend.
