Chicago Weather: Minor Snow After Midnight
CHICAGO (CBS) -- While the major winter storm coming this way will pass well south of the Chicago area, we could be brushed with the northern edge of the snow shield.
But we have dry air in place, so we are only expecting minor amounts of snow overall.
Timing for light snow looks to be midnight to daybreak.
On Thursday a few leftover snow showers are likely, especially lakeside. We are keeping an eye out for the lake effect chance through the mid-day hours.
Some may linger over the lake and never push onshore. The lake-effect setup is not that impressive on Thursday.
Look for minor amounts of snow overall – a dusting to an inch and a half or so is expected.
The low for Wednesday night is 14, while the high for Thursday is 25. The high for Friday is 19 with partly cloudy skies.
