Chicago Residents Reminded To Shovel Their Sidewalks
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- With the Blizzard of 2011 behind us, the city is reminding residents to shovel their sidewalks.
There have been 500 complaints called into the city's 311 center about snowy sidewalks, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports, the city is now placing yellow and black door hangers on homes that read: "Shovel your sidewalk. It's the neighborly thing to do. It's also the law."
With the exception of Sundays, the city code requires that snow be removed from sidewalks within three hours—if it falls before 4 p.m. Otherwise it needs to be cleared by 10 a.m. the next day.
The fine is $50.
