What are the scope and responsibilities of your current role?
"I work closely with physicians and develop relationships that provide patients with excellent care. As a sales rep, I develop and implement both business-building and relationship-building strategies for identified profitable services including pain management, wound care and dermatological problems. Having a nursing background allows me to work closely with physicians and their personnel in order to identify proper relief for patients and their needs. In addition, I participate in case conferences with supervisory and field personnel and maintain forms, reports and statistical data as well as marketing strategies. I am able to identify opportunities for organizational improvement and participate in performance improvement activities. I go above and beyond my means to provide our patients the best possible holistic care and excellent service."
What is your favorite part of your daily duties?
"I love meeting new people and learning about them. Personally, being in sales is very rewarding to me. It gives me the opportunity to get to know people and learn so much about them and develop long-term relationships. I also enjoy teaching and educating the physicians and their staff about the compound creams and ways to help alleviate their patients' discomfort. I am of Greek heritage and speak the language, so I also work directly with the Greek community, take their calls personally and educate my patients on the creams."
Do you feel your education prepared you for your current role?
"Absolutely! My education has opened up a lot of new doors and different avenues."
Do you have any advice for people who desire to pursue a similar career?
"My advice to others is never stop dreaming and going after your dreams! Have patience because it's not easy, but as long as you want it, you can achieve it. Healthcare is a road with many avenues and it can truly be life-changing. Never lose faith!"
