Chicago May Get Temporary Korean War Museum
CHICAGO (AP) - The Navy Pier in Chicago may be in line for a new attraction: a temporary museum about the Korean War.

Officials with the Korean War National Museum are pursuing plans to build a museum to show what a permanent museum might have in it. Ryan Yantis, the museum's executive director tells The State Journal-Register in Springfield officials would also like to open other locations in the city.
The news may mark the end of an effort to build the museum in Springfield. Yantis says his organization is focusing on a city with a year-round tourist base.
Yantis says there are no plans to close the Denis J. Healy in Springfield. The center was planned a precursor to a permanent museum, and includes exhibits and artifacts from the war.
