Chicago Man Killed In Riverdale Drive-By Shooting
RIVERDALE, Ill. (STMW) -- A Roseland man is dead after a drive-by shooting early Sunday in south suburban Riverdale.
The man -- identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as 22-year-old Preston Griffin -- was in a vehicle at Halsted and 144th streets when a shooter in a white SUV opened fire about 4:30 p.m., according to a Riverdale police release.
Griffin, of the 10800 block of South Forest Avenue, was shot once in the back and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was declared dead at 8:31 a.m., authorities said.
Police do not have any suspects, the release said.
