It's more than a hot dog joint. It's an encased meat emporium! Of course they have a Chicago-style dog, but there is so much more. The daily specials are the most exotic, from blue cheese pork sausage to duck sausage with truffle aioli. Everybody raves about the duck-fat fries (served on Friday and Saturdays). Cash only! Expect big crowds.

It's an iconic, classic drive-in spot on the North Side. It has straight up, no-nonsense Chicago-style hot dogs, with bright green relish and all the fixins. Good fries and burgers, too.

A great place for a great dog, and even better if you are with friends who would rather chow down on an Italian beef sandwich or burger. They have super-quick service, too.

fRedhots has been on dog scene for a few years now—with some even comparing it to Hot Dougs without the huge crowds. They have great char-dogs and excellent, classic Chicago dogs with a good snap. Plenty of other choices, too. The fries are tasty and come with different dipping sauces.

Morrie O'Malley's is a big draw for White Sox fans since it is just a few block from the park. If you aren't a Sox fan, it's still worth the trip.
