Chicago Firefighter Dies In Motorcycle Crash Downstate
SPRINGFIELD (CBS) -- A Chicago firefighter and paramedic was killed in a motorcycle crash near Springfield on Thursday.
Firefighter/Paramedic Sean Sloe was riding his motorcycle on Interstate 55 near Springfield when he was involved in a crash with two semi-trailer trucks, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Sloe, who was in his mid-30s, joined the Fire Department in 2005.
He was assigned to Truck Co. 55, on the Northwest Side.
Funeral arrangements were pending Thursday afternoon.
