Chicago Circle Interchange Worst Bottleneck In Country
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago has the dubious distinction of having the worst bottleneck for truckers in the country.
A study of truck traffic found that the Circle Interchange--where the Dan Ryan, Kennedy and Eisenhower expressways meet--is the worst in the United States.

The average speed through the "spaghetti bowl"--named for all of the ramps that connect the three expressways--is 29 miles per hour.
Two other Chicago area bottlenecks also made the top ten.
Coming in at No. 6 is the Interstate 65 and Interstate 80 exchange in Gary, Ind. At No. 8: the Kennedy-Edens expressway junction on the North Side.
