Chicago-Austin Southwest Flight Hits Severe Turbulence
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Southwest Airlines flight from Chicago to Austin made an unscheduled landing after encountering severe turbulence over Iowa.
The crew of Flight 1265 landed at the airport in Kansas City "out of an abundance of caution," the airline said in a statement.
The B-737 airplane was checked for damage, and there were no reports of any injuries, the airline said.
