UPDATED 09/03/11 5:43 a.m.
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Four people were hurt when a light fixture came crashing down from the ceiling at a restaurant just northwest of the Loop Thursday night.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bob Roberts reports, the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kin Sushi and Thai Cuisine restaurant, at 1134 N. Milwaukee Ave. in the Noble Square neighborhood.
Firefighters say a decorative light fixture fell from its place just below the ceiling in the dining room.
Four people were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after the light fixture fell. Two were in serious condition, while two only suffered minor injuries, fire officials said.
Kin Sushi and Thai Cuisine opened in May 2009, with an interior design described on its own Web site as "a sleek contemporary aesthetic."
Following the accident, the front of the restaurant was wrapped in red tape reading "Danger, do not enter," and police were standing outside.
