Car Crashes Into Apple Store
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An elderly driver lost control of a vehicle and crashed into the Apple store Saturday in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
The accident occurred at 6:15 p.m. in the 800 block of West North Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Joshua Purkiss said.
A patient was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, the Chicago Fire Department reported.
Witness Shirley Susman says she was across the street when the accident occurred.
"I heard the screech of brakes, and I turned around and looked across the street and I saw the car -- it was heading directly to the Apple Store," she told CBS 2.
There were several people standing inside the store looking out the window.
"They saw the car coming and they ran, fortunately," Susman said.
