Campbell To Make Season Debut Tonight
Brian Campbell injured his knee in a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
"It's been pretty boring the last month," Campbell told NHL.com staff writer Sergei J. Feldman, after taking the ice for the team's morning skate. "I'm ready to go tonight and help out and get a feel for it again."
Campbell enters tonight's game against the Rangers, confident that his knee will hold up and alloy him to be effective.
Campbell participated in a rigorous skate in Minnesota and then a less intense skate this morning in New York.
Campbell's return should be a good boost the the Blackhawks defense. According to early reports, Campbell will be paired up with Niklas Hjalmarsson. That matchup was effective for the Blackhawks throughout the regular and post-season last year.
