BYU's Davies Suspended For Premarital Sex
According to The Salt Lake Tribune, BYU's starting center Brandon Davies was suspended from the team for the rest of the season for violating the school's honor code prevision that relates to premarital sex.
The paper reports that Davies was suspended on Tuesday, after acknowledging the violation to BYU officials on Monday.
Davies was averaging 11.1 points and 6.2 rebounds a game for the No. 3 ranked Cougars.
BYU is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Among other things, the school's honor code forbids premarital sex, the use of alcohol and illegal drugs, and cheating on schoolwork.
