Bushrod Returns To Practice, Peppers Sits Out
(CBS) Bears left tackle Jermon Bushrod returned to practice Monday afternoon after missing time with an injured calf.
Bushrod missed four practices last week with the injury, but returned Monday, participating only in individual team drills.
Bushrod told CBS Chicago's Adam Hoge last week that he wasn't sure if he'd be ready to play in the team's first preseason game Friday against the Panthers.
"It'd be nice," Bushrod said. "It'd be nice to get out there and put some of this hard work that we've been doing out there against another opponent. But I do not want to get it to the point where I'm out even longer."
Julius Peppers (hamstring), Earl Bennett (concussion), Kelvin Hayden (hamstring) and D.J. Williams (calf) all sat out of the team's morning practice.
