Bush 43 Signs His Book About Bush 41 In Naperville
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- George W. Bush gave hundreds of book buyers a chance to see a U.S. president, albeit a former one, when he showed up at a suburban Chicago store to sign copies of his new book.
Bush appeared Monday at Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville to sell the biography he wrote about his father, former President George H. W. Bush. "41: A Portrait of My Father" covers the entire scope of the senior Bush's life and career.
Those seeking a glimpse of the 43rd president arrived more than three hours before he arrived for the appearance scheduled for three hours.
The Secret Service ordered nearby streets and parking lots barricaded for security. The store was closed until Bush arrived and book buyers could only enter the store empty-handed.
