Bus Driver Arrested After Passing Note To Young Girl
(STMW) -- A west suburban bus driver was arrested after passing an inappropriate note to a young girl on his bus route.
According to a statement from Downers Grove police, a 12 year-old student was riding the bus to school when 52-year-old Victor Ray handed her a note as she got off at Highland Elementary School.
The note contained information on how the girl could contact Ray, but she turned it over to school officials, who contacted police, the statement said.
Ray was taken from the bus and removed from any contact with students after school officials contacted his employer, Westway Coach bus company.
Ray, a resident of Addison, was charged with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and released, according to police.
