Bursts Of Snow Giving Way To Warmer Temperatures
UPDATED 02/22/12 1:01 p.m.
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A morning peppered with bursts of snow is giving way dry, overcast skies and temperatures jumping to 45 degrees.
CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros reports the snow from the morning hours was still working its way through Northwest Indiana as of 11 a.m. It had been expected to bring 1 to 2 inches of accumulation in some areas, but most locations got just a dusting, if anything.
The snow was expected to turn to rain by lunchtime, then leave the area altogether. The high for the afternoon is 45 degrees.
But flurries return overnight when the low drops to 38, and rain and snow are likely again for Thursday, when the high climbs to 46.
