Burglars Use Dump Truck To Break In
AURORA, Ill. (STMW) - Someone drove a dump truck through a large garage door in an attempt to burglarize a company in the 400 block of Northeast Industrial Drive last weekend, Aurora police said.
The truck was parked with several other vehicles in the company's parking lot, and someone had to get over a fence to get to the truck, they said. The person then drove the truck through a garage door, causing about $2,600 worth of damage to the building. There was no damage to the truck, police said.
Company officials told police the burglars took several checks written to the company and some change, but nothing else. The event took place sometime between Saturday afternoon and Monday afternoon.
