Burglars Hit Lakeview Apartment Building After Fire
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Residents of a Lakeview apartment house were hit by two blows over the weekend: First their building was devastated by fire and then their units were burglarized.
The fire was early Friday morning in the six-unit building in the 3400 block of North Janssen.
Jessica Johnson lives on the second floor. She says a third floor neighbor woke her up and told her to get out.
"I'm just thankful to make it out safe," she said. "Four of the tenants are in critical condition."

Hours after the fire, on Friday, Johnson and some other residents were allowed back in to get a few belongings.
Then over the weekend burglars got in.
Johnson says she lost electronics and jewelry.
"It's unfortunate that people take advantage of people (who are) already going through a rough situation and... kick 'em while they're down," she said.
Johnson says she always thought the Southport corridor was a good area, but she says her sister across the street was just robbed a couple of months ago and she says there have been burglaries, break-ins and car thefts over the past few months.
