'Crowbar Creeper' Hits West Town, East Ukrainian Village
(CBS) -- Police are investigating at least three burglaries in West Town and East Ukrainian Village in which the suspect used a crowbar to pry open doors and windows during the day.
The incidents occurred Jan. 7 in the 1100 block of North Wood Street, on Jan. 9 in the 2400 block of West Chicago Avenue and on the 800 block of North Winchester Avenue, Chicago police said in a community alert.
The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing and was observed by at least one victim holding a crow bar.
