At least one burglar strikes 3 restaurants on Pulaski Road on Chicago's Southwest Side
Three separate businesses were cleaning up Tuesday evening after a string of burglaries hours earlier in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood.
Burglars first struck at 3:54 a.m. at Qsazon Mexican Restaurant, 8451 S. Pulaski Rd. Police said a burglar broke into the restaurant through the front door and stole unspecified items, and then broke into two cars on the property and damaged one of them.
Meanwhile, surveillance video taken around 4:25 a.m. showed a man ransacking Angie's Restaurant & Pizzeria, at 8352 S. Pulaski Rd.
The video showed a man jumping over the counter and going right for the register. He got through a door in the back.
Just five minutes later, there was another burglary down the block at El Taco Sabroso #1, 8346 S. Pulaski Rd. A man wearing a similar hoodie was seen breaking a glass door to get in, and he then crawled over the counter to get to the cash register.
As of late Tuesday, no one was in custody in the burglaries.
