Burbank Man Charged In Fatal Southwest Side Crash
CHICAGOLAND (STMW)-- A southwest suburban man has been charged with felony DUI for fatally striking a woman with his vehicle on the Southwest Side early Saturday morning, according to police.
Jesus Luna, 51, of Burbank was charged with aggravated DUI for hitting Judith Bramwell, 56. The victim was getting into her vehicle in the 6500 block of South Pulaski Road around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Bramwell, of the 5700 block of South Saint Louis Avenue, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she died, authorities said.
Luna, who remained at the scene, was also charged with reckless driving and a two other counts of DUI, all misdemeanors, according to police. He was also cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance.
He was scheduled to appear in Cook County Bond Court on Monday.
