Bulls vs Heat Has 'Been Lining Up For A Long Time'
CHICAGO (WSCR) When the Miami Heat eliminated the Boston Celtics to advance to the conference finals, their celebration was fitting of an NBA Title. When the Chicago Bulls advanced to the conference finals, it seemed as if it were just another win.
Chicago's post-game demeanor was similar to what it has been all season: focused and intense. And that's the same way the Bulls were before the game.
"Obviously that comes from Tom [Thibodeau]," K.C. Johnson, of the Chicago Tribune, said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "But it's obviously a team that's bought into that all season, and it was pervasive both before and after the game. Joakim [Noah] put it in perspective, he was very happy that they had advanced and said, 'we're very pleased but not satisfied, you know, we're ready to compete.' And I think that bodes well."

Miami has been public enemy No. 1 going back to free-agency when LeBron James and Chris Bosh took their talents to South Beach to team up with Dwyane Wade. The Bulls came from relatively out of nowhere to end the regular season as the NBA's best team, something many expected of the Heat.
"I mean you really can't write this script any better," Johnson said. "I mean this has been pointing to this since the night of The Decision, last July 8. I mean, Joakim Noah, that night, shortly after LeBron made his decision, was getting a workout at the Berto [Center] at like 10:00 at night. He's shirtless, throwing around outside the Berto Center, he was like 'hey, I like the pieces we have. We're ready to compete.' So this has been lining up for a long time and it's going to be a lot of fun."
