Bulls To Open Season In Dallas, Face Lakers On Christmas Day
CHICAGO (CBS) Despite the league being in a lockout, the NBA released the 2011-12 regular season schedule Tuesday, which includes the Bulls opening the season in Dallas against the defending champions.
The Bulls will watch the Mavericks raise their banner before the Nov. 1 opener.
Chicago's first home game will be Nov. 5 against the Atlanta Hawks. That will start a four-game homestand that includes games against the Clippers, Thunder and Kings. The homestand precedes the annual two-week "circus trip" which oddly starts in Washington D.C. Nov. 13 this season. The Bulls will then fly cross-country to Portland to begin the West coast portion of the trip Nov. 16
Other notable games next season include a Christmas Day showdown against the Lakers in Los Angeles and four games against the Miami Heat. The Bulls will travel to Miami Jan. 19 and Jan. 29 and host the Heat March 14 and April 12.
