Bulls' Joakim Noah Suffers Left Shoulder Injury
By Cody Westerlund--
(CBS) In just his fourth game back after missing nine contests with a sprained left shoulder, Bulls big man Joakim Noah has suffered an injury to the same spot.
In the second quarter of Friday's home game against the Mavericks, Noah left the game with a left shoulder injury and was ruled out for the night by the team. The injury occurred during a battle for a rebound as he was on the defensive end. Noah ran off the court in serious pain and straight to the locker room while holding his shoulder.
Initially, the Bulls called it a separated left shoulder, then updated that diagnosis to a left shoulder dislocation.
Noah first suffered a left shoulder injury in a Dec. 21 loss to the Nets. He then missed the next nine games across three weeks.
Noah's averaging 4.4 and 9.0 rebounds in a reserve role off the bench. He got a spot start Thursday in place of Pau Gasol and had a strong game, recording six points, 18 rebounds and eight assists.
