Bulls 'Have Goals Of Hanging Banners This Year'
The Chicago Bulls outplayed the Boston Celtics and walked away with a 16-point win on Thursday night, but that's all it was for this Bulls team, a single win.
"Our goal is much higher than a regular season game in April," Carlos Boozer said. "We didn't assemble this team so that we could have a great season and then not be good in the playoffs."
After missing out on the "Big Three" free agents over the summer, the Bulls signed players like Boozer, Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver. And it's the Bulls, not the self-proclaimed "Heatles," that are a single win away from clinching the top spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
But again, this team's goals go beyond simply getting the East's No. 1 seed, just like they go beyond beating the Celtics in early April.
"We want to go deep [in the playoffs]," Boozer said. "And we have goals of hanging banners this year, and we're making the right steps."
