Bulls' Derrick Rose Out Against Pistons

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will miss Saturday's home contest against the Pistons that carries big playoff implications as he continues to deal with a left elbow contusion that leaves his unable to use his left arm effectively while playing.
Rose suffered the injury when he fell and hit his elbow in Monday's loss to the Hawks. He played with the injury Tuesday in a win against the Pacers and played the first half Thursday against the Rockets before coach Fred Hoiberg and the medical staff decided it was best he sit out.
Rose was using his right hand almost exclusively to dribble and pass while he was playing through the injury.
"I'm able to push off a little bit more, but as far right now, I'm still real tender," Rose said.
"A little bit of swelling, but it's more tender than swelling. I can't dribble the ball or every time I get hit, just the vibration of getting hit aggravates the spot."
Asked if he can play in Sunday's game at Milwaukee, Rose responded "if it feels different."
It will be Rose's 13th missed game of the season. He's averaging 16.5 points and 4.7 assists. E'Twaun Moore will start in Rose's place.
