Bulls' Derrick Rose On Track To Play Tuesday
(CBS) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is on track to return from a sprained left ankle and play in Tuesday evening's contest at the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Bleacher Report's Sean Highkin.
Rose has missed Chicago's last two games after suffering the injury on a baseline drive a week ago in a win against Indiana. He was a full participant in Monday's practice, Highkin reported.
The return of Rose will help what was a depleted Bulls backcourt in a Friday loss to the Warriors. Reserve point guard Aaron Brooks missed that game with a hamstring strain, and he'll miss Tuesday's game as well.
Rose is averaging 13.6 points on 37.7 percent shooting.
The Bulls have two games left on their annual circus trip. After Tuesday, they play Friday at the Pacers.
Chicago is 8-4, good for a second-place tie in the Eastern Conference behind Cleveland (10-3).
