Bullet Found On Southwest Suburban School Bus
JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) -- A bullet was found on a school bus leaving a southwest suburban Joliet middle school Tuesday afternoon.
Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton said the bus left Troy Middle School, 5800 Theodore St., about 3 p.m., when two students told the driver they saw a .38-caliber bullet on the floor.
The driver returned to the school without letting any students off the bus, and a search was conducted, Benton said.
"No other ammunition or weapons were found, and there are no suspects at this time," he said.
