Buffone: Takeaways Are Key
(WSCR) Coming into yesterday's Bears-Lions game, Detroit had committed just five turnovers on the season.
The Bears defense forced the Lions offense into six turnovers in Sunday's game alone -- something one Bears expert said was the key to the Bears fourth straight win.
"There's no question, that's the answer: the takeaways," Doug Buffone told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. "That's what Lovie Smith lives by, that's what he talks about -- takeaway, takeaway, takeaway. That's what they did
"There's no way you can overcome six turnovers or six takeaways. It's impossible."
