Buffalo Grove Woman Awakes To Find Strange Man Straddling Her

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police in north suburban Buffalo Grove were investigating a bizarre home invasion this past weekend, after a woman awoke to find a strange man on top of her.
CBS 2's Mike Puccinelli reports, around 4 a.m. Saturday, police were called to a condo in the 1100 block of Miller Lane in Buffalo Grove, after a woman woke up to find a strange man straddling her on her bed.
The victim said the man put his hands on her throat, and twice tried to sexually assault her before she screamed, and he ran away through an open patio door.
The woman was not injured, and the man did not use or show a weapon during the attack.

Residents of the Mill Creek Condominium complex were concerned, as a similar home invasion happened last month in the same condo complex, although it went unreported at the time.
"It's pretty scary, because … it's very close to home, obviously," Michael Macaluso said. "I have a fiancée who lives with me, and I would die if something like that happened to her."
She wanted her neighbors to know what happened, so they can be on the lookout for the man who tried to rape her.
"It's terrible. That shouldn't happen. I mean, we live in a nice community, you know? We should be protected," Maksim Migdalovich said.
Residents vowed to be on their guard after the second attack.
"Honestly, sometimes I leave my sliding door open, even during the night, so to me it was shocking," Denis Botvitch said.
Police said it's unclear if both home invasions were committed by the same person.
Police said the man in Saturday's attack was described as a 5'9" white male between 30 and 40 years old, with an average build, short brown receding hair, and a slight tan. He was clean shaven, and was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, unknown pants, and no shoes.
Residents were being urged to lock their doors and windows.
