Buehrle: Life In The NL Better Than I Thought
(WSCR) For Mark Buehrle, switching to the National League after 12 seasons in the American League wasn't as bad as the left-hander thought.
"It's been three or four months now, and, to be honest with you, it wasn't as bad of a change as I thought it was going to be," Buehrle told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. "I thought I'd be missing (the White Sox) a lot more, but once I got down to spring training and got to know my new teammates, it kind of felt normal."

Buehrle, who owns a 25-8 record with a 3.35 ERA in 42 career Interleague starts, has transitioned well to the National League. Through 18 starts this season, the left-hander is 9-8 with a 3.13 ERA.
"You still gotta go out and make outs," he said. "Obviously, not facing the DH every couple of innings and facing the pitcher is a big time help for a pitcher, but you still have to go out there, and a lot of times you're going to walk guys in front of the pitcher to take a chance on an easier out. You still have to make pitches on them. If you make mistakes, there are some pitchers that are good hitters."
