Brouwer Has Successful Shoulder Surgery
CHICAGO (CBS) On Tuesday, Chicago Blackhawks forward Troy Brouwer underwent surgery to repair a right shoulder labral tear, the team announced on Thursday.
According to Blackhawks head team physician Dr. Michael Terry the injury had "been symptomatic intermittently throughout the season."
Brouwer played in 86 games for the Blackhawks this season, including the playoffs. He scored 17 goals and added 19 assists while collecting 38 penalty minutes and 261 hits.
"The surgery went very well," Dr. Terry said. "We anticipate a full recovery."
