Briggs To Throw First Pitch At Thursday's White Sox Game
CHICAGO (WSCR) Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will throw out the first pitch at Thursday night's Chicago White Sox game. The game will feature a matchup between the White Sox and the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians.
Both the White Sox and Indians are having seasons no one expected. The White Sox are 17-25 and 10 games back of the Indians, who have the best record in baseball.
Briggs will throw out the first pitch while the future of the NFL remains a little cloudy.
On Monday, the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the NFL and upheld the current lockout. Both sides are continuing their court-order mediation, so there is hope that a deal can be reached at the negotiating table, and not the in a court room.
