Brewer: Bulls Staying Grounded After Big Win

The Chicago Bulls picked up a big statement win on Thursday night by beating the Miami Heat 93-89. But after one of the biggest wins of the season the Bulls are still grounded by the philosophy of their head coach.

"Well basically, Thibs doesn't like to look ahead," Bulls guard Ronnie Brewer said on the Danny Mac Show. "He feels like if we continue to work everyday in practice and buy into his concepts and continue to work on our defense that at the end of the day, when it comes down to it, we'll be right there, we don't have to brag, we don't have to promote out team. The work that we put in, it will show everybody what type of team we are.

"I think that's basically what we're doing. We're going to continue to get better by working on our defense. And we're getting better day in and day out. I think we had a little let down against the Raptors, but I think we responded really well agaisnt the Heat. We played up to our potential and we won that game, basically, with defense."

Defense has won the Bulls a lot of games this season. The team ranks third in the NBA allowing just 92.8 points per game.
