BREAKING: Police-Involved Shooting In Humboldt Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A person has been shot, and Chicago police officers engaged in a gun battle in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Friday night, Chicago police say.
No one was shot by police, but officers witnessed a shooting and a gunman fleeing on foot, according to a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
Officers chased the man, who engaged them in a gun battle near Lawndale and Division streets, the spokesman said.
The man then hopped into a waiting vehicle and fled.
It's unclear if the man was struck by police, but the victim shot by the offender is in critical condition at Stroger Hospital, police say.
