Boy, Older Brother Hit By Car On SW Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 6-year-old boy and his 18-year-old brother were hit by a car on the Southwest Side on Friday.
The boy and his brother were crossing Cermak Road at California Avenue around 8 a.m. when they were struck by a driver who was making a turn off of California, police said.
The driver, Julian Carrillo, was headed south on California Avenue and turning east onto Cermak Road when he bumped the two brothers.
The brothers were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
Carrillo, 54, of the 2800 block of West 21st Street, was cited for striking a pedestrian in the road and was scheduled to appear in Traffic Court on May 4.
