The young boy was wounded in the leg and taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. The teen suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken in good condition to same hospital.
The girl was in the 13200 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue when two men playing basketball nearby got into a fight.
One of the men grabbed a gun and missed his target, hitting the little girl instead.
The shot grazed the girl's thigh, and she was taken in good condition to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, police said.
The latest shootings come less than a day after a 1-year-old girl was shot with her mother as they slept in their home in the 11900 block of South Calumet Avenue.
Family members said a bullet came through the side of the house and passed through Jaliyah Allen's head before wounding her mother, Tonishia Allen, 24, in the thigh.
Jaliyah spent four hours in surgery Thursday morning, and family members said her prognosis was good. Her mother was treated and discharged from Advocate Christ Medical Center, but remained at the hospital to be with her daughter.
