CHICAGO (CBS) -- A high school student and aspiring rapper was shot and killed in the Rogers Park neighborhood early Tuesday.
Sixteen-year-old Keno Blass was walking home around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, when a gray minivan drove up in the 7600 block of North Ashland Avenue, and someone inside shot him.
Blass, a student at Senn High School, was just feet away from his front door when a bullet struck him in the head. Senn and other Chicago Public Schools are on spring break this week.
His family said they can't believe what happened.
"Can't no words explain the way I feel," said his brother, Shamont Slaughter. "It's so hard. I don't want to say anything."
Slaughter said his brother was a good student, and a great basketball player, and he wanted to be a rapper.
Police are questioning a person of interest Tuesday.
