Boy, 13, Shot On Southwest Side Porch
CHICAGO (STMW) - A 13-year-old boy was shot multiple times while standing on a porch in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood Wednesday night.
The boy was on the porch in the 2400 block of West 47th Place about 9:25 p.m. when an unknown male came out of a gangway and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
He was shot in the chest, arm and hip and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in "stable" condition, Alfaro said. A motive for the shooting was not yet known Wednesday night.
No one is in custody, and Area Central detectives are investigating.
