Boy, 12, Falls From Third Story Balcony In Gurnee
GURNEE, Ill. (CBS) -- A 12-year-old Gurnee boy was little sore Tuesday morning after a three-story fall.
As WBBM Newsradio's Mike Krauser reports, police tell the Daily Herald the boy was "horsing around." He was in his family's third-floor unit in the Woodview Apartments, in the 1800 block of Delany Road, around 5 p.m. Monday.
He went through the screen door, onto the balcony and over the railing, the Daily Herald reports.
Paramedics told the newspaper he hit a railing on the second floor on the way down, and landed on the grass below.
He had some bumps and bruises, which were treated at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. But otherwise, he was only a little sore, the Daily Herald reported.
A parent was in the apartment at the time of the accident, the newspaper reported.
