Bowen: Urlacher Is A Hall Of Famer
(WSCR) Brian Urlacher has been a staple in the Bears defense over the past decade, and one Bears expert thinks he could one day become a permanent fixture in the walls of Canton.
"Urlacher has done enough, he's played enough football games and made so many big plays throughout his career that you have to really look at him as a Hall of Fame player," Matt Bowen of The National Football Post and Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show.

The 33-year-old Urlacher has 61 tackles and three interceptions this season and is playing as well as he did in his 20s. Bowen said Urlacher has been so successful throughout his career because his athleticism allows him to play in any scheme.
"A lot of time we get beyond ourselves when we try to put certain players, especially on defense, with 'OK, this guy's good in a 3-4' and 'He's good in a 4-3.' Urlacher can play in any scheme," Bowen said. "He can play in the Tampa 2. He can play for Rex Ryan. He can play for Greg Williams. He's that good of an athlete. I think when you look at what he's done here in Chicago, yeah, you gotta talk good about him."
