Bowen: Packers 'Are Not Unbeatable'
(WSCR) After getting embarrassed Sunday in New Orleans, the Bears have to regroup in a hurry as they face the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field this weekend.
The Packers are off to a 2-0 start, including a win over the Saints, but at least one 670 The Score expert thinks the Bears have a chance to beat Green Bay Sunday.
"They're a very good football team but they're not unbeatable," Matt Bowen of The National Football Post and Chicago Tribune said Thursday on The Mully and Hanley Show. "No one is unbeatable in the NFL anymore. Losing Nick Collins, I want to see the secondary play without Nick Collins … He's a Pro Bowler. If you're going to talk about the top three safeties in the league, I'd say it's (Ed) Reed, then (Troy) Polamalu plays both and then it's Nick Collins. He's a great football player."

Bowen, who breaks down the X's and O's of football for 670 The Score, believes the Bears' defense is the perfect scheme to play against the Packers.
"The Bears Cover-2 is an ideal defense to play against Aaron Rodgers. Take away the deep-ball, force them to put together 12-, 13-play drives because that's when mistakes start to happen," Bowen said. "Offensive play-callers get impatient when they have to throw the check down consistently and they'll take shot and that's when you try to force a turnover if you're the Bears."
Speaking of turnovers, Bowen believes ball security might determine the game for the Bears.
"The one thing I will say about the Packer defense, no matter how many yards they have given up, they are still a big play defense. If you're Jay Cutler and the Bears, if you turn the ball over you have no chance this weekend."
